Author:
Pliers are hand tools used to clamp, fix, process workpieces, or twist, bend, or cut metal wires. The appearance of pliers is V-shaped, usually consisting of three parts: handle, jaw, and mouth. There are various types of pliers, including pointed nose pliers, diagonal nose pliers, wire pliers, curved nose pliers, flat nose pliers, needle nose pliers, wire cutting pliers, locking pliers, pipe pliers, punching pliers, and so on. The function of pliers
1. Steel wire pliers: It is a type of clamp and cutting tool. The steel wire pliers are composed of a pliers head and a pliers handle, and the pliers head includes a pliers mouth, a tooth mouth, a cutting edge, and a cutting edge. The functions of each part of the pliers are:
① Teeth can be used to tighten or loosen nuts;
② The cutting edge can be used to cut the rubber or plastic insulation layer of flexible wires, as well as to cut wires and iron wire pliers;
③ The cutting edge can be used to cut hard metal wires such as wires and steel wires;
④ The insulated plastic pipe of the pliers has a withstand voltage of over 500V, and with it, it can cut wires with electricity. During use, avoid littering.
2. Pointed nose pliers: also known as trimming pliers, mainly used for cutting single and multi-stranded wires with finer wire diameters, as well as bending the joints of single stranded wires, peeling plastic insulation layer, etc. It is also one of the commonly used tools for electricians (especially internal line electricians), consisting of a pointed end, a knife edge, and a pliers handle. The handle of the pointed nose pliers used by electricians is covered with an insulating sleeve with a rated voltage of 500V. Due to the pointed head of the pointed pliers, the method of using the pointed pliers to bend the wire joint in a narrow space is to first fold the wire head to the left, and then bend it clockwise to the right against the screw.
3. Wire stripping pliers: One of the commonly used tools for internal wire electricians, motor repair, and instrument and meter electricians. It is composed of a knife edge, a wire pressing edge, and a pliers handle. The handle of the wire stripping pliers is covered with an insulating sleeve with a rated working voltage of 500V. Stripping pliers are suitable for stripping plastic, rubber insulated wires, and cable cores
4. Pipe wrench: used to tighten or loosen the bundle or pipe nut on the wire tube, using the same method as a adjustable wrench
